CCMA Prep Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 24, 2026
CCMA Prep ("the app", "we", "us") is a study app for the NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam, made by Euosoft. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. In short: there is no account, no advertising and no tracking, and your study data stays on your iPhone.
1. Summary
| Data | Where it stays or goes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your study data: answers, confidence choices, readiness history, flashcard progress, mock scores, saved questions, your exam date, your daily goal, your reminder time and cue, the first name you choose to enter, app settings | Only on your iPhone. Never uploaded by the app | To run your study plan |
| Purchase record and a random app user ID | Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat | To sell, check and restore your subscription or Lifetime access |
| Update check: a random install ID, app version, platform, update channel | Expo (the company that runs the app's update service) | To deliver fixes to questions and the app |
| Emails you choose to send us (problem reports, support questions, optional diagnostics) | Your email provider and our support mailbox | To answer you and fix content |
We do not sell or share personal information, show ads, use analytics or advertising SDKs, or track you across other companies' apps and websites. The app does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data.
2. Data that stays on your iPhone
The app stores your study data in a database inside the app's own storage on your iPhone. We cannot see it, and the app has no feature that sends it anywhere.
- Backups. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or to a computer, Apple's backup can include this database, so a new iPhone restored from that backup gets your progress back. Backups are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
- Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone by iOS. No server sends them, and you can turn them off in the app or in iPhone Settings.
- Age range. Where the law requires it (for example in Texas, Utah and Louisiana), the app asks iOS for your age range through Apple's Declared Age Range feature. You or your parent or guardian choose whether to share it. The answer (an age band such as 16 to 17, never your birth date) is stored only in the app's database on your iPhone, is not sent to us or anyone else, and does not change what you can study.
- Error log. If the app hits an error, it records technical details (time, screen, error message, app and content version) in a local log of the last 200 errors. It contains no answers, names or identifiers and stays on the iPhone unless you choose to attach it to an email (section 3.3).
3. Data that leaves your iPhone
3.1 Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)
Subscriptions and Lifetime access are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never receive your name, Apple ID, email address or payment details from Apple. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
To check and restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. ("RevenueCat"), a service that processes in-app purchase data for app developers. When you open the app, buy, or restore, the RevenueCat software in the app sends RevenueCat:
- a random app user ID that the app creates (it is not your name, email, Apple ID or advertising ID);
- your App Store transaction records for this app (product, purchase date, price and currency, storefront country, transaction IDs);
- basic technical details needed to answer the request, such as the app version, iOS version, device model and language. Your IP address is visible to RevenueCat's servers when the app connects.
RevenueCat uses this to confirm your access and to give us purchase reports (for example, how many subscriptions were sold). It does not receive your study data. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. We do not link the random app user ID to your identity. The only exception is if you send us your Support ID by email to get help with a purchase or to delete your record; we then use it only to handle that request.
3.2 Update check (Expo)
When you open the app with a connection, it asks Expo's update service (EAS Update, operated by 650 Industries, Inc., "Expo") whether a newer version of the app's code or questions is available, and downloads it if so. We use this only to fix mistakes quickly, for example a wrong answer key. Each request includes a random installation ID created by the app, the app's version and runtime version, the platform (iOS), the update channel and the ID of the update you are running; your IP address is visible to Expo's servers. Expo uses these requests to deliver updates and to show us aggregate counts of how many installations check for updates. No study data is sent. Expo's privacy policy: https://expo.dev/privacy.
3.3 Emails you send us
"Report a problem" and "Email support" open your own mail app with a pre-filled message. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send there. The message contains what you see in it: the question ID and revision, content version, app version, iOS version and iPhone model, your note, and, only if you turn on "Include diagnostics", the local error log (section 2). Because it is sent from your email account, we also receive your email address and name as your mail app shows them. A Support ID (your random app user ID) is included only if you choose to add it.
Our support mailbox is hosted by Apple (iCloud+ Custom Email Domain), which stores these emails for us as our service provider. We use these emails only to answer you and to correct content. We keep them for up to 24 months after the conversation ends and then delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
3.4 Websites you open
Links to sources, the NHA website or Apple's refund page open in a browser view. Those websites have their own privacy policies; the app does not pass any data to them.
4. How long data is kept
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Study data on your iPhone | Until you tap Reset my progress (Profile → Your data) or delete the app |
| RevenueCat purchase record | For as long as needed to let you restore your purchase, or until you ask us to delete it |
| Expo update-check data | Under Expo's retention practices (see Expo's privacy policy) |
| Support emails | Up to 24 months after the conversation ends |
| Apple's purchase records | Under Apple's privacy policy; we cannot delete them |
5. Your choices and rights
- Delete your study data: Profile → Your data → Reset my progress, or delete the app.
- Delete your purchase record at RevenueCat: email etkinlikyweb@gmail.com with your Support ID (Profile → Privacy → Support ID). We will ask RevenueCat to delete it and confirm within 45 days. After deletion, Restore purchase can still find a purchase from Apple's records, which recreates a new anonymous record.
- Access or correction: we hold no study data; for the other data above, email us and we will tell you what we hold and correct or delete it.
- Notifications: turn off the daily reminder in the app or in iPhone Settings.
- Update checks: these happen only with a connection; there is no separate switch in v1.
We honor these requests from anyone, wherever you live, and we will not treat you differently for making them. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law that gives you additional rights, you can exercise them the same way.
6. Children
CCMA Prep is rated 16+ on the App Store and is meant for people 16 and older who are preparing for a professional certification. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has emailed us, we answer once and then delete the message. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
Your study data is stored in the app's private storage, which iOS encrypts on a passcode-protected iPhone. Data the app sends to Apple, RevenueCat and Expo travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. The app contains no account credentials to steal. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your iPhone protected with a passcode.
8. Service providers
We use RevenueCat (purchases), Expo (updates) and Apple's iCloud Mail (our support mailbox) as service providers. They process the data described above to provide their services to us, under their terms and privacy policies, which commit them to protect it. We do not give any other company access to data from the app.
9. Where data is processed
RevenueCat and Expo process data in the United States. Our support mailbox is operated by Apple (iCloud Mail). We are located outside the United States; by emailing us, you send your message to us there.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version at ccmaprepapp.com/privacy with a new effective date, and mention significant changes in the app's release notes. If a change would mean collecting new kinds of data, we will update the App Store privacy details before the version that does so is released.
